Motivate me!

I still can’t make myself write. I have a huge pile of drafts that I started writing and really should finish, but as soon as I sit down with one of them in front of me my mind blanks and it just isn’t happening. My personal life isn’t exactly lending itself to many chances for interesting reading at the moment, other than my brush with fame being interviewed for Helicopter Heroes having just extricated a 14yom from a car crash, and the only things that are really inspiring me to write are other peoples’ memes.

So please, motivate me. Give me something to rant or rave about. Or just tell me what motivates you, how you overcome writer’s block? Because I need some help here!

I have so much I want to write about. But either don’t have the time, the energy, the linguistic ability or the stones to do any of it justice. Bear with me.

Blog redesign. Ish.

So, I’ve had a day off and a laptop with GIMP. So what else to do than make a new header for the blog? [Don't answer that question. I know I'm tragic]. A slight improvement on the age-old picture of Snowdon, I feel. But what do you think?

Things might actually be appearing soon

This is a test post more than anything, but also a note that I have discovered moBlog which, if this works, will allow to me to blog properly from my mobile, rather than using the rather poorly featured WordPress mobile site. This means the one remaining obstacle to my blogging – not being arsed to turn my pc on – will be overcome, and I might start wasting bandwidth again.

No, I haven’t died, or even worse become a sensible person who doesn’t rant on the internet about every single thing that happens in my life or that annoys me. I’ve just been manically busy.

Don’t worry though! I’m still as opinionated, grumpy and geeky as always, so hold tight and I’ll post some actual content soon. I might even backpost all those things I started before getting sidetracked…

Alright dudes?

It occured to me this morning in the shower that my SRCF account won’t be around forever, mainly due to my plans to graduate at the end of this year and spend a few months in the Real World before hopefully returning to education. So rather than deprive you, my adoring public of my wit, wisdom and humour (erm?), I shall move everything on my website here, where I get a free blog and a much nicer UI than blogger.

So yeah. Watch this space.
